Elmire M. LeBlanc of Belliveau Village passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 31st, 2010, at the age of 90.

Elmire BelliveauBorn on October 19th, 1919, in Beaumont, she was the daughter of the late Eloi Belliveau and the late Léonie Gaudet. She was the last surviving member of her family. Her wonderful sense of humour and her infectious smile will be remembered forever by those who knew and loved her. Her willingness to lend a hand to those in need will never be forgotten. Her life touched many--too numerous to count. She will be remembered with love by all those who were fortunate enough to have known her

She was predeceased by her three brothers: Gérald, Alyre, and Joseph; and her five sisters: Anna, Doris, Alvina, Lola, and Edith. She was also predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Allain O. LeBlanc, and their infant son, Oscar. She is survived by her five remaining children: Roméo LeBlanc (Sue) of Southington, Connecticut; Claudette (Jim) Spinks of Tyler, Texas; Bernard LeBlanc of Calgary, Alberta; and her twin daughters, Pauline (Guy-deceased) Gautreau of Memramcook, and Paulette (Guy) Léger of Cocagne. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren: Charlene (John) Desprey, Brent (Kimber) Spinks, Mark (Jennifer) LeBlanc, and Wayne LeBlanc, all residing in the USA. Locally, she is survived by Nadine (Bert Gaudet) Breau, Lynn (Joel) Landry, Natasha (Pierre LeBlanc) Léger, Lisa (Marc) Brun, and Wendy (Perre-Luc Daigle) Léger. She leaves behind nine great-grandchildren and one scheduled to arrive in April. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as countless friends.

Visitations will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home with the Funeral Mass to be held at the Notre-Dame-de-l'Annonciation Roman Catholic Church in Pré-d'en-Haut on Friday, February 5th, at 7:00 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in Pré-d'en-Haut.
